Why We Need to Grow as a Christian

Following Jesus is a lifelong journey. When we place our faith in Christ, we begin a new life, and God calls us to keep growing in our relationship with Him. Peter encourages us to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18).

Our goal is to know God more deeply and become more like Jesus. As we study and apply His Word, the Holy Spirit shapes our character and helps us live in ways that honor Him (Romans 8:29; James 1:22).

God also designed us to grow together. Through the church, we encourage one another, serve others, and build one another up in faith (Hebrews 10:24–25).
